Trip Notes & Rates

All charters require a minimum booking of 6 passengers unless it is a whole vessel charter. Maximum number of total passengers is 12.

All trips include all meals, snacks, beverages, use of kayaks, rain gear, shore boots, chest waders/boots, and skiff transportation.

Bear Viewing trips include float plane transportation to and from the vessel from Kodiak City. The charter of float planes is reflected in trip cost. The only exception is on trips with only 6 people where the plane fare will be additional.

Alaskan Dream Ventures does not provide:

  • transportation to or from the vessel for Prince William  Sound trips such, as from hotels, airports, or cities

*rates for 2027/28 could increase based on increased food costs, fuel prices, any float plane charter rate increase, and vessel trip insurance rate increase. We lock rates the preceding fall before charter dates.

*custom trip rates will be based on number of days, number of crew required, and location. Location will affect fuel usage and vessel trip insurance. Vessel requires charter trip insurance coverage for each charter. Which is directly affected by the waters we must travel across or operate in.

Fees

If you are a single traveler, you will not be charged a single supplement if you are willing to share a cabin. If you want to guarantee a private cabin, single supplement charges will apply. Please call or email for rates.

Cancellations & Refunds

If you find it necessary to cancel your trip, please notify us as soon as possible. You may telephone but we will need written notification via certified mail.

Cancellations Terms

Initial deposit is non refundable. All cancellations after January 20th will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the total ticket price. Cancellations received less than ninety days before departure are not refundable. They will be charged 100% of the ticket price.

In the unlikely event Alaskan Dream Ventures has to cancel your cruise we will refund 100% of what you paid toAlaskan Dream Ventures. In no event, however, shall our liability exceed the obligation to refund the amount you paid to us. Alaskan Dream Ventures reserves the right to change or substitute crew members or make changes in our schedule or itinerary when necessary for the safety of our guests. In the unlikely event of mechanical breakdown, we reserve the right to make a timely substitution to another boat of comparable size and quality. If your charter is canceled or length reduced due to mechanical breakdown, we will refund the amount paid to us on a prorated basis.

ADV reserves the right to cancel any charter at any time.

Insurance

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND that your obtain Travelers and Trip Cancellation Insurance to protect yourself. Please check with your travel agent for rates and coverage. 

Withdrawal

ADV reserves the right to require any participant to withdraw from a trip at any time. This happens if the Captain deems their acts or conduct detrimental. It must also be incompatible with the interest, harmony, comfort, or welfare of the trip. In such cases, no refund will be given.

Safety

During our safety meeting all clients will be shown:

  • All safety equipment and operations
  • MOB procedures (man overboard)
  • Life raft operations
  • Everyone will don an immersion suit
  • Fire protocols
  • Emergency alarms
  • Personal Flotation Device Donning/Stern Dock Rules
  • Muster areas (emergency meeting areas)
  • It will be stressed that Alaskan Waters are rated 1-10-1
    • First 1-3 minutes uncontrolled gasping
    • 10  minutes time for self rescue
    • 1 hour before hypothermia kills

Skipper Rob Hulse teaches marine safety for AMSEA (Alaska Marine Safety Association). He instructs commercial mariners, commercial fishermen, US Coast Guard Personnel, and recreational boaters. Our goal during the safety meeting is to ensure everyone respects our unforgiving Alaskan waters. Participants must follow safety protocols to ensure a safe trip.
